Timor-Leste is blessed with some of the richest and most unexplored waters in the world.

I hope that this event will draw attention to our fantastic marine biodiversity, our tremendous potential for scuba diving and also its development as a tourism industry here in Timor-Leste.

Most importantly this initiative will help us protect our precious seas, reefs and their inhabitants for our future generations."
